Physician’s Assistant. Patient’s Confidant.

Ever since her days growing up in New London, Minnesota, and working at her family’s Kandiyohi County resort, Rebekah “Becky” Roverud has always been looking out for others. Whether she’s lifeguarding on Games Lake as a youngster or studying for her masters in Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University, Becky has always liked to help people.

“I love being able to see patients and be the person they can talk to about uncomfortable situations,” explains Becky. “A lot of times, patients will say to me, ‘I want my 16-year-old daughter to come see you. I think she’ll be able to talk to you.’”

As a PA-C (Physician’s Assistant, Certified), Becky sees patients of all ages for everything from their annual and vaginal exams to more delicate issues, like discussing STD’s, examining unidentified lumps and selecting birth control.

“I initiate a lot of conversations with young patients about birth control,” Becky adds. “We discuss more traditional methods like the pill as well as some of the newer methods like Nuvaring and Implanon.”

When she’s not seeing patients, Becky also assists doctors in surgery, including the newest minimally invasive procedures performed using the da Vinci Robotic Surgical System .

Becky is also well versed in the all the services available to patients online. To see a video of Becky explaining the many options available (and how easy it is to sign up for them), click here.

Becky is married to her high school sweetheart, Kevin. When they’re not doing remodeling projects around the house, they like socializing with friends and hanging out with their many nieces and nephews. One day, Becky hopes to travel to Australia, New Zealand and her ultimate beach destination, Thailand.
